About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains how PARA WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED, referred to as “Para Works”, “we”, “us”, or “our”, handles personal data when you use the Ting mobile application, the Ting website, and related services.
By using Ting, you acknowledge the practices described here. Where applicable law requires consent, we will ask for it through a clear notice or device permission before processing the relevant personal data.
Information we handle
Information you provide
This may include your phone number, profile or business details, language preference, staff or team information, and anything you send when you contact us.
Payment notification information
With your permission, Ting uses Android notification access to identify eligible payment notifications and announce them. Relevant information may include the amount, time, payment status, source payment app, and other limited text needed to recognise the notification and create your payment history.
Ting does not ask for your UPI PIN, bank password, debit or credit card number, or bank login credentials. Ting does not receive, hold, route, or settle your customers’ money.
App, device, and diagnostic information
We may process device identifiers, app version, operating system, device settings relevant to Ting, crash records, performance logs, network information, and security events. This helps us keep voice alerts reliable and investigate faults.
Subscription information
When you buy a subscription, the relevant app store or payment provider processes the payment. We may receive limited purchase information such as the plan, transaction reference, subscription status, renewal date, and country. We do not receive your full payment credentials from that provider.
Website information
When you visit our website, our hosting and security providers may process basic technical logs such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages requested, and request time. We do not use this website to sell personal data or build third-party advertising profiles.
How we use information
We use personal data only for legitimate, specified purposes connected with Ting, including to:
- detect eligible payment notifications and speak the payment amount;
- show payment history, totals, reports, and team activity you choose to use;
- set up and manage your account, devices, language, staff access, and subscription;
- provide support and respond to grievances;
- diagnose failures, improve reliability, prevent abuse, and secure Ting;
- meet legal, regulatory, accounting, and enforcement obligations; and
- send service notices and, where you have permitted it, product updates or offers.
We do not use notification access to read unrelated private conversations for advertising. Device permissions can be reviewed or withdrawn in Android settings, although Ting may stop working when a required permission is removed.
Retention and deletion
We retain personal data only for as long as needed to provide Ting, maintain security and records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with law. Retention periods may differ by data type and may continue for a limited time in protected backups or fraud and audit logs.
When information is no longer required, we delete it or make it no longer identifiable, unless the law requires or permits longer retention. You may request deletion using the contact details below. Some records may need to be retained for legal, tax, security, or dispute purposes.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. These measures may include access controls, encryption where appropriate, logging, and restricted service-provider access.
No app, transmission, or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Keep your phone locked, protect your account, install software updates, and contact us promptly if you believe your Ting account or device has been compromised.
Your choices and rights
Subject to applicable law, you may ask for information about personal data we process, request correction or erasure, withdraw consent, and raise a grievance. You may also have a right to nominate another person to exercise certain rights in the circumstances provided by law.
You can change notification access, speech, and other device permissions through Android settings. You can manage subscription renewal through the purchase channel used to subscribe. Withdrawing a required permission or deleting relevant data can limit or disable parts of Ting.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We may refuse or limit a request where the law allows or requires us to do so, and we will explain the reason where appropriate.
Children
Ting is a business tool intended for adults and is not directed to children under 18. Do not create an account or provide personal data if you are not legally able to enter a binding agreement. If we learn that a child’s personal data was provided without valid authority, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
Third-party services
Ting works alongside payment apps, Android, app stores, and other third-party services. Their products, notices, and privacy practices are controlled by them, not Para Works. Review their policies before using their services. Ting’s spoken alert is a convenience and is not a replacement for the payment record in your payment or bank app.
Processing locations
Our service providers may process information in India or other countries where they operate. When personal data is transferred, we take steps required by applicable law and use contractual or technical safeguards appropriate to the information and service.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to Ting, our practices, or the law. We will post the updated version here and change the effective date. If a change materially affects your rights or how we use personal data, we will provide additional notice where required.
Contact and grievances
For privacy questions, rights requests, or grievances, contact the Grievance Officer at PARA WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED by emailing support@tingting.app. Use the subject “Privacy” or “Grievance” and include enough information for us to identify your account and understand the request.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may use any further remedy available under applicable law.
