Your agreement with us
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of the Ting mobile application, website, and related services provided by PARA WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED, referred to as “Para Works”, “we”, “us”, or “our”.
By installing, accessing, purchasing, or using Ting, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Ting.
Eligibility and authority
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering a binding agreement. If you use Ting for a business or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these Terms for that entity and to grant Ting access to the devices and notifications you configure.
What Ting does
Ting is a software tool that uses permitted Android notifications to identify eligible incoming payment messages, announce payment information through a phone speaker, and provide related history, totals, reports, language, and team-device features.
Ting is not a bank, payment system, UPI app, payment aggregator, or settlement service. It does not receive, hold, transfer, or settle money. A Ting alert is not final proof that funds have settled. Always verify a payment in your payment or bank app before providing goods, services, cash, or refunds.
Features may vary by device, Android version, app version, subscription, language, location, and supported notification format. We may improve, replace, limit, or discontinue a feature where reasonably necessary.
Permissions and account duties
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate information and keeping your account and phone secure;
- granting only permissions you understand and are authorised to grant;
- keeping Android, Ting, and relevant payment apps updated;
- maintaining suitable volume, notification, network, battery, and background settings;
- checking the original payment record when an alert is delayed, missing, duplicated, or unclear; and
- ensuring that staff and shared-device use complies with law, workplace obligations, and your internal permissions.
You must promptly tell us if you suspect unauthorised access or misuse of your account.
Trial, subscription, and billing
Ting costs ₹1 for the first 7 days, then ₹99 per month. The price, billing frequency, taxes, renewal terms, and any platform-specific conditions will be shown before you confirm a purchase.
If your purchase is an auto-renewing subscription, it renews monthly until cancelled. You can cancel through the app store or payment channel used to subscribe. Cancellation stops future renewals but does not ordinarily refund the current billing period, except where required by law or the purchase channel’s rules.
The app store or payment provider may process billing and may apply its own terms. If payment fails, access to paid features may be limited or suspended until payment is completed.
Alert accuracy and availability
Ting depends on third-party notification text, Android permissions, device settings, operating-system behaviour, network conditions, and speaker availability. These factors can change without our control. Alerts may occasionally be late, incomplete, duplicated, or unavailable.
You remain responsible for confirming whether a payment has been received and settled. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, support for every notification format, or that Ting will detect every payment notification in every circumstance.
Acceptable use
You may use Ting only for lawful business purposes. You must not:
- use Ting to misrepresent a payment, defraud a person, or facilitate unlawful activity;
- access notifications, accounts, devices, or staff information without proper authority;
- interfere with Ting, bypass security or subscription controls, or introduce malicious code;
- reverse engineer, copy, resell, sublicense, scrape, or exploit Ting except where the law expressly permits;
- impersonate another person or submit false information; or
- use Ting in a way that harms Para Works, our providers, other users, or the integrity of payment systems.
Third-party services
Ting may work with Android, payment apps, app stores, speech services, hosting, and other third-party products. Their services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for their acts, outages, notification formats, policy changes, or security, although we will take reasonable steps regarding providers we appoint to process information for us.
Ownership and licence
Ting, including its software, design, brand, content, and technology, is owned by or licensed to Para Works and is protected by applicable intellectual-property law.
While these Terms apply and your subscription is active where required, we give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Ting for its intended purpose. No ownership right is transferred to you.
You retain ownership of information you lawfully provide. You grant us the limited rights needed to host, process, reproduce, and transmit that information only to operate, secure, support, and improve Ting in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Suspension and termination
You may stop using Ting at any time and may cancel a subscription through the applicable purchase channel. Removing the app does not necessarily cancel a subscription.
We may limit, suspend, or terminate access if payment is overdue, these Terms are materially breached, use creates security or legal risk, or we must do so by law. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to address the issue.
Terms that by their nature should continue, including ownership, disclaimers, liability limits, dispute provisions, and accrued payment obligations, survive termination.
Disclaimers
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Ting is provided on an “as available” basis. We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. Nothing in these Terms excludes a guarantee, right, or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Limits of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Para Works and its directors, employees, affiliates, and providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, business, goodwill, data, or opportunity arising from Ting.
Our total aggregate liability arising from or relating to Ting will not exceed the fees you paid for Ting in the six months immediately before the event giving rise to the claim. This limit does not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including for fraud, wilful misconduct, or any mandatory consumer right.
Your responsibility for misuse
To the extent permitted by law, you will be responsible for losses, claims, and reasonable costs suffered by Para Works because of your unlawful use of Ting, material breach of these Terms, infringement of another person’s rights, or unauthorised access to a device or notification. This does not require you to indemnify us for our own negligence or misconduct.
Changes to Ting or these Terms
We may update Ting and these Terms to reflect product, pricing, security, legal, or operational changes. We will post the revised Terms and update the effective date. Where a change materially affects your rights or an active paid subscription, we will provide additional notice as required by law. Continued use after the revised Terms take effect means you accept them.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Before starting formal proceedings, you and Para Works agree to try in good faith for 30 days to resolve a dispute after written notice.
Subject to any mandatory consumer forum or other remedy available under law, courts with jurisdiction over the registered office of PARA WORKS PRIVATE LIMITED will have exclusive jurisdiction.
General terms
If part of these Terms is held unenforceable, the remaining parts continue to apply. A delay in enforcing a right is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our written consent. We may assign them as part of a restructuring, financing, merger, acquisition, or transfer of Ting.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, and any purchase terms shown to you form the agreement about Ting and replace earlier statements on the same subject. If purchase-channel terms conflict with these Terms on billing or cancellation, the purchase-channel terms control only for that transaction.
